ManCrunch Superbowl Ad Rejected

Dear ManCrunch,

I know its not right. What gives CBS the right to not allow your spot to air during the Superbowl? I thought we lived in a world that believes in freedom of speech right? But seriously though this spot is terrible. I'm all for shock value but where is the thought behind this. Come back next year with something a little more clever.

Sincerely,

Look What the Wind Blew In

Dear Wind Mobile,

Let me be the first to welcome you to Canada. Its been sometime since we've seen a new Telecom company in the great white north (not including Koodo). It seems as though this will be a refreshing change to the current climate around mobile service providers. The campaign which was produced by new agency Clean Sheet in a pitch won back in early 2009.

The positioning for the campaign looks to put an end to contracts because of their ridiculous nature. The TV creative takes this to the next level by taking everyday situations and dialing up just how obscene contracts are in every day life so why do they make sense with a phone contract.

Hot Dog Fees

Sidewalk Toll

Bike Lock

In addition to TV Clean Sheet also developed radio, print and OOH including statues of urbanites across major Canadian cities.

Only time will tell if Wind is able to weather the Canadian storm.

Sincerely,

Wave Goodbye to 2009

Dear Google,

Google finds yet another way to in grain itself into our everyday life this time by using Google Wave to help summarize all of 2009. For those of you who aren't aware Google Wave is the video production apllication. The only thing that's missing from the video in my opinion is Oprah's announcement to retire.

Sincerely,
